BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College sophomore forward Ceciley Chisholm (Lexington, Mass./Lexington) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's basketball Player of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday.
In a pair of Endicott wins this past week, Chisholm came just one rebound shy of posting back-to-back double-doubles as she helped improve the Gulls to a perfect 7-0 in TCCC play with wins over Roger Williams University and Gordon College. In a 68-49 win over RWU, Chisholm scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help pace a potent Gulls offense. Two days later against cross-town rival Gordon, Ceciley notched 18 points, nine rebounds and six steals to launch the Blue and Green to a dominating 28 point victory over the Fighting Scots.
Endicott is the only undefeated TCCC school remaining, as the Gulls sit atop the conference with an unblemished 7-0 record (12-7 overall). Chisholm and the Gulls return to action on Wednesday evening as they travel to New London, N.H. for a 5:30 pm tilt with Colby-Sawyer College. The Chargers are currently in a three-way tie for third place in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.
