BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College used an 11 goal first half to sink North Shore and TCCC rival Gordon College, 16-10, on Saturday afternoon at Endicott Stadium. The Gulls led by as many as nine goals on the day, unleashing 37 total shots in the victory.

Gordon came out hot as the Fighting Scots were quick to build a 3-1 lead. The Gulls answered right back, and following a six goal surge led by Valerie Feldman (Albany, N.Y.), Endicott was in control, 7-3.

Gordon's Dani Zorn (Mercer Island, Wash.) and Anne Taylor (Arden Hills, Minn.) would each put in a goal to cut the lead to 7-5. Yet the Gulls were once again up to the challenge, as Alex Pearce (Underhill, Vt.) notched two tallies and the Blue and Green got a goal each from Kristen Micho (Syracuse, N.Y.), and Feldman to grab an 11-5 lead going into the break.

The Gulls wouldn't let up in the second half as Pearce added another goal only 44 seconds into the frame. Two goals in a row from Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.) put the game out of reach at 14-5.

Valerie Feldman led the charge for the Blue and Green scoring five goals on six shots. Pearce totaled four goals on the afternoon and Cunningham added three. Four other players had at least one goal in the win. Cunningham and Molly Moss (Yarmouth, Maine) co-led the team in assists with two. Endicott's Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, Maine) made 10 saves in the winning effort.

Annie Cameron (South Hamilton, Mass.) led Gordon in points with six, notching two goals and a team-high four assists. Amber Whalen (Colorado Springs, Colo.) paced the visitors with three goals. Fighting Scots' goalkeeper Chyanne Wilson (Pearl River, N.Y.) made 17 saves, including 11 in the first half for the hard-luck loss.

With the win, Endicott improves its record to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. Gordon slips to 2-2 in TCCC play and 6-3 overall. The Gulls return to action as they host Roger Williams University at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Scots head to Newport, R.I. on Tuesday to meet Salve Regina.
