FSU SHOWS SUPPORT FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS WITH "THINK PINK" GAME

The Lady Broncos will be wearing pink uniforms February 14, 2008 as they take on Shaw University at 5:30pm in the Capel Arena

Feb. 12, 2008

Fayetteville, NC - The Fayetteville State University athletic department is proud to announce their involvement with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Think Pink" initiative.

In 2007 the WBCA established this initiative with the dedication to providing breast cancer awareness in women's basketball, on college campuses, and in communities. Recognizing the harsh realities of breast cancer, Fayetteville State University's athletic department was eager to get involved and show support for the many individuals battling this vicious disease.

The "Think Pink" Week for 2008 will be held February 8-17 and in light of their support, the Lady Broncos will be wearing their pink uniforms February 14, 2008 as they take on Shaw University's Lady Bears at 5:30pm in the Capel Arena.

The Fayetteville State University athletic department would like to extend an invitation to Breast Cancer Survivors and those diagnosed with the disease via complementary tickets. Please contact Tamara Holmes for details at 910.672.1349 or tholmes1@uncfsu.edu.
