Track Team Heads to Sun Belt Indoors

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic track team will take part in the Sun Belt Indoor Championships to be held in Murfreesboro, TN. FAU will attempt to better their eighth place finish at last year's meet. Friederike Feil and Idalis Velazquez set school records in the 3,000 meters and long jump respectively at the Owls' last meet, the New Balance Collegiate Invitational. FAU finished 8th at last year's Sun Belt Championships. Feil claimed two individual championships at last year's meet, winning the mile and the 3,000 meters and was named the Outstanding Female Track Athlete at the meet.
The Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday February 23 & 24 in Murfreesboro, TN. Most of the championship events will be available via webstreaming for free. Fans can register for the free viewing by clicking the following link.
