BOCA RATON, FL - Javier Carrillo scored the only Owl goal as the Florida Atlantic men's soccer team lost to Real Salt Lake 2-1.

The match took place at the Holiday Inn Soccer Complex in Sunrise and was part of the Owls' spring schedule as they prepare to defend their 2007 Atlantic Soccer Conference regular season and tournament titles. FAU head men's soccer coach Kos Donev was upbeat after the match.

"We played a good match against a good MLS team," Donev said after the match. "I am pleased with the way we've played. It has been a very good spring for us."

FAU will finish its spring schedule with two matches. On March 12, the Owls will take on Nova Southeastern University at 8:30 p.m. The final match of the spring season will take place on March 14 against Barry University at 7 p.m. Both matches will be held at FAU Field.
