BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic (21-15) softball team split a doubleheader against Saint Louis on Tuesday.

FAU had a 4-2 lead headed to the bottom of the seventh when the Billikens scored three runs to win the first game.

In the nightcap, the Owls scored seven runs in the first two innings, including a two-run homerun by Vanessa Suarez. FAU added two more in the third and was leading 9-2 in the fifth when Jenna Schwarz scored on a Billiken fielding error to end the game.

The Owls resume Sun Belt play on Friday when they travel to Denton to take on North Texas. Friday's doubleheader starts at 3 p.m. and live stats and play-by-play will be available at fausports.com.
