The Florida Atlantic University tennis teams head to the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Monroe, LA this Friday. The men enter as the no. 4 seed, while the women are no. 11.

Hosted by the University of Louisiana-Monroe, the Sun Belt Tournament Champions receive automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament. The FAU men's team won their last conference championship in 2001 when the program was a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The women won in 2003 and 2005 in the same league.

The FAU men enter the week ranked no. 73 in the nation. Three other SBC schools enter the week ranked higher, led by no. 45 Denver. South Alabama (60) and Middle Tennessee (71) follow as the no. 2 and no. 3 seeds. FAU holds a 14-5 record entering the tournament and will face UALR in the first round on Friday at 4 p.m. et.

The FAU women enter the tournament with a 3-16 record and will play no. 6 North Texas on Friday at 9 a.m. et.

The champion of the three-day tournament will be crowned on Sunday.
