FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's basketball coach Adrian Wiggins has announced that Kelsi Bond has been promoted to an assistant coach after the resignation of Becky Hoskins. Bond has previously served as the Basketball Operations Director for four years at Fresno State.

"I am excited coach Bond is moving up into the coaching position," Wiggins said. "She has definitely earned this. Kelsi is a bright, energetic up and coming coach."

This is Bonds second stint working with the Fresno State women's basketball program. Before being promoted to assistant coach she served as the Basketball Operations Coordinator for two years. Prior to that she was the head varsity women's basketball coach at Canton High School (Canton, Okla.) where she helped turn around a 6-19 team prior to her arrival to a 16-9 team in her final year as the head coach. That season she also guided the team to the regional round of the Oklahoma state playoffs and the program's first winning record in four years.

Prior to Canton, Bond began her first stint with the Bulldogs as the Director of Basketball Operations.

On the departure of Hoskins, Wiggins said, "We are excited for her. She has the opportunity to travel and start a family. We appreciate her hard work and we will miss her a great deal."

Hoskins served as an assistant coach for two years at Fresno State.
