LANCASTER, Pa. - Rich Gallugi went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 12-9 win over Lebanon Valley on Sunday. Two of his RBIs came on a fifth inning single when the Diplomats (18-12) seized the lead from the Dutchmen (10-20) for good.

The lead shifted four times in the game prior to the fifth inning when F&M rolled up five runs on three hits and three walks. Trailing 5-3 heading into the bottom of the frame, Matt Donahue started F&M off with a double and made his way to third on a passed ball. Three consective walks later, he stepped on the plate to cut LVC's lead to 5-4. Shea Moriarty then hit a shot that took a monstrous bounce over third base to score a pair of runs, putting F&M out in front for good. Gallugi then popped a long single into rightfield to score another pair.

The only at-bat in which Gallugi didn't reach safely came in the first inning, but yielded the Diplomats' first run of the game plating Mark Minutaglio. Gallugi scored twice on sacrifice flies. He crossed on a Patrick O'Reilly fly to left in the fourth and a Tom Miller fly to center in the seventh. Minutaglio recorded two hits, runs and RBIs in the game. Donahue was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Centerfielder, Eric Bornstein scored twice.

Three Dutchmen recorded multiple hits including John Mentzer and Corey Lamoureux who each had a pair of hits and RBIs. Dutch catcher Paul Earle also knocked in a pair of runs.

Chris Miller claimed his first collegiate win working the middle three.

The Diplomats continue in non-conference play on Tuesday at York.
