Nguyen is making her first stop in the ranks of collegiate coaching, however, the Lancaster native is not stranger to the world of college tennis. The former University of Georgia star attained All-America and All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) First Team status in 2001. She earned All-SEC Second Team Singles honors in 2002 and 2003. Her Bulldogs won the NCAA National Team Championship in 2000, and took SEC titles in 2000 and 2002. On her way to the All-America honors in 2001, Nguyen registered championships in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) South Regional Singles Tournament, and the SEC Coaches Classis Singles Tournament. In addition to her myriad collegiate accomplishments, Nguyen was a four-time National Champion on the junior circuit, conquering both hardcourt and clay. She traveled to eight countries on three continents to represent the United States on the USTA National team, and was ranked in the top 10 in both singles and doubles competition throughout her junior career. Nguyen served as the Assistant Tennis Professional at the Petersburg Racquet Club in Augusta, Ga. from 2005 through 2006. She returned to Lancaster in 2007, where she works as a Teaching Professional at Wisehaven Tennis Center and Bent Creek Country Club. |
