GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Grace Gallagher shot an 88 on the par 72 course at The Links at Gettysburg for a third place finish. She led her Franklin & Marshall squad to a third place finish at the Gettysburg hosted tournament, the last tune-up heading into this weekend's Centennial Conference Championships.

Five Centennial teams were featured in the field of seven teams. Only teams four had enough entries to produce team scores. McDaniel (374) won the tournament, followed by Gettysburg (385), F&M (4/20), and Cortland State (4/22). Dickinson, Susquehanna, and Ursinus had individual entries.

Gettysburg produced the medalist in Merril Fortier, who shot an 80 (+8). Her teammate, Leah Tuscano took second with an 86 (+14), followed by Gallagher (+16).

All four of McDaniel's golfers finished in the top ten for the team championship. Nicole Cristy and Elyse Massa tied for fourth place with a 92 (+20), while Valerie Saucier and Jennie Weiner tied for seventh having shot 95's (+23).

Gallagher was the only F&M golfer to finish in the top 15. Meaghan Eyler took 16th place with a 107 (+35), followed by Noel Stinchfield who shot a 108 (+36). Caroline Hailey finished in 22nd place carding a 117 (+45), while Laura Hewitt took 29th with a 140 (+68). 30 golfers started the tournament.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday for the first round of the Centennial Conference Championships, hosted by Muhlenberg.
