Jean-Yves Aubone Loses In Final At Futures Event

JOPLIN, Mo.- Florida State junior Jean-Yves Aubone fell one match short of winning consecutive professional tournaments with his three-set loss in the finals at the Futures Tournament in Joplin, Mo.

Aubone was defeated by No. 7 seed Tigran Martirosyan in three-sets 6-3, 5-7, 6-0. Coming into the match Aubone had won nine consecutive matches and 12 out of 13. To reach the finals the Miami, Fla. native defeated two seeded players including the tournaments top seed Adriano Biasella.

Last week Aubone earned his first career professional tournament victory in Peoria, Ill., defeating Ohio State's Bryan Koniecko 7-6(4), 6-2. Aubone has now made it to at least the semifinals in three consecutive events.
