2008-09 Furman Spring Cheerleading tryouts will be held April 30th and May 1st, 2008 in the Alley Gym on the Furman campus. Tryouts are a two-day event - a Wednesday evening clinic followed by a Thursday evening tryout. Material to be taught at clinic will include 3 sidelines, a dance (for girls), and a fight song. Tumbling and jumps will be included as part of material required to be demonstrated at the actual "tryout," but it will not be taught at the clinic. Individual interviews with participants will also be conducted at the tryout.

Spring tryouts are directed toward current Furman students - Both male and female students are welcome! Incoming freshmen who live in the Greenville area are welcome at the clinic and tryout, but they must contact the head cheerleading coach of their intent to participate in the on-campus tryout by April 15, 2008.
