On November 10, 2007, Ambra Yarbrough was crowned Miss Easley 2008. She will compete in the Miss South Carolina pageant, in Spartanburg, SC, in early July 2008.
Ambra is a sophomore, majoring in Communication Studies. She is involved in several organizations including besides cheerleading, including Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Recruitment Vice President for Alpha Delta Pi, Resident Assistant for the ADPi Sorority Hall and a member of the Athletic Service Board.
Ambra competed in four phases of competition to earn the title of Miss Easley - Interview, Talent, Swimsuit and Evening Gown. She received the "grand talent" award performing a lyrical dance in addition to receiving the title of "Miss Easley 2008."
Ambra spends many afternoons taking her platform "Empower Your L.I.F.E.....Leadership is for Everyone" to school children by speaking at school assemblies throughout the state and encouraging them to follow their dreams. She also writes a column weekly for the Easley Progress newspaper, attends Chamber of Commerce meetings, special events and fundraisers.
