STANFORD, Calif. -
Several Paladin runners competed in California over the weekend, with three Paladins turning in personal best times.
Qualifying for the Stanford Invitational, junior Patrick Morgan turned in a personal best time of 1:51.73 in the 800 meter event.
On the other side of the bay, Paladin athletes took part in the Chabot Relays and Distance Festival. Senior F.J. Goodwin recorded a personal best time of 10 minutes flat in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, good for a first-place finish.
Also finishing first for Furman was junior Alex Plasencia, who recorded a personal best time of 14:54 in the 5,000 meter event. Representing the women's track & field team was junior Lindsay Barker, who ran a personal best 2:17.35 in the 800 meter, finishing second.
The Paladins will compete again on April 12, as they host the Furman Blue Shoes Track Invitational.
