Greenville, S.C. -- Furman guard Justin Dehm has been named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team by the SoCon Sports Media Association, it was announced on Tuesday.
Dehm averaged 10.6 points per game while appearing in all 29 games and registering 25 starts for the Paladins this season. The Peoria, Ill., native played a team-high 27.6 minutes per game, converted a team-best 61 three-pointers on 157 attempts (38.9%) and shot 85.5% from the foul line.
The Richwoods High product earned Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week honors on December 31, after scoring a career-best 23 points in Furman's 67-62 victory over Howard at the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic in Moraga, Calif.
Dehm led the Paladins in scoring eight times, ranked among the league's top 25 scorers and finished 15th in the SoCon in three-point field goal percentage.
Furman (7-22) faced seventh-seeded Elon in the opening round of the Southern Conference Tournament Friday at 5:15 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
