Furman Basketball Inks Sebirumbi To National Letter Of Intent

April 16, 2008

Greenville, S.C. - Forward Brandon Sebirumbi of Keller Central High School in Keller, Texas, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Furman men's basketball program for the 2008-09 season, it was announced on Wednesday by Paladin head coach Jeff Jackson.

"We are very excited about adding Brandon to our program as he has tremendous upside potential," said Jackson. "It is a great opportunity for us in terms of improving our physicality around the basket and size on the perimeter."

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound Sebirumbi averaged 11.6 points per game as a senior while helping the Keller Central Chargers to a 17-12 overall record and 10-4 mark in District 5-5A. He led the district and ranked third in the Dallas/Fort Worth area averaging 10.0 rebounds per contest.

Sebirumbi played his AAU basketball for the Dallas Mustangs along with fellow Furman signee Neil Duvall (6-8) of Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. Duvall, along with 6-foot-9 Chris Toler (North Central H.S.) of Indianapolis, Ind., signed with the Paladins during the November period.

Furman returns eight players who started at least five games in 2007-08.
