Hilton Head Island, S.C. -- Furman fired a final round 305 to finish in second on Tuesday at the third-annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate men's golf tournament, hosted by Francis Marion University on Hilton Head Island.

Ben Goforth (75-72-73=220) posted a one-over 73 to lead the Paladins with a third place finish. Garrett Schneider (71-73-77=221) placed in a tie for fifth and Austin Reeves and Jonathan Bowden finished at nine-over par to take a share of 16th place.

Elon (298-292-300=890) carded a final round 300 to claim the team title on the strength of Jimmy Lytle's first place finish with rounds of 69, 68 and 72.
