Furman In 10th After Two Rounds At Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Columbus, Ohio -- The Furman men's golf team carded rounds of 311 and 318 to hold 10th place after two rounds at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Saturday at the par-71, 7,455-yard Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club.

Furman senior Ben Goforth (77-77=154) posted back-to-back rounds of six-over-par 77 to pace the Paladins in 24th place after 36 holes. Chris Gilliland (77-79=156) is in 33rd place at 14-over on the strength of a first round 77 on Saturday morning.

Michigan State (303-302=605) holds a one-stroke lead over Colorado (299-307=606) and three-stroke advantage over the host Buckeyes (298-310=608) following two rounds of play. Kent State and Penn State round out the top five while the Paladins are 24 strokes off the lead in 10th.

Michigan State's Ryan Brehm (73-72=145) and Zach Sebert (71-74=145) enter Sunday in a tie for individual honors at three-over-par.

Final round action at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate is set for Sunday morning. The 14-team field will begin to tee-off at 8:30 a.m.
