TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - #12 Alabama slipped past #65 Furman 4-3 in men's tennis action today.

Alabama took the number one and three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match, while the team of Chris Rhyne and Anrei Chvetsov defeated Saketh Myneni and Andrew Felsenthal 8-7 (7-5) and number two doubles.

In singles play, junior Andy Juc defeated #100 Mathieu Thibaudeau 6-4, 6-1 in the number one spot, while Sawyer Duncan topped Houssam Yassine 6-3, 7-5 at number five singles, and Michael Kociecki won over Andrew Felsenthal 6-2, 6-1 at number six.

"Although we still have a few things to put together, we were pleased with the team's performance today," commented head coach Paul Scarpa. "With Chris Motes not playing today, the other players really stepped up and played well. The team is beginning to play more like the team we expect them to be this season."
