MIAMI, Fla. - The Paladin men's team fell to #26 Miami by a score of 6-2 in tennis action on Wednesday.

Miami won the first doubles match, with the team of David Rosenfeld and Vivek Subramanian defeating Chris Mote and Andy Juc 8-4. The duo of Bo Ladyman and Jason Basile evened the score by topping J.C. Whitner and Barnabas Carrega 8-3. Miami clinched the doubles point with a win at the number one spot, where Daniel Vallverdu and Carl Sundberg won over Chris Rhyne and Andrei Chvetsov, 8-5.

Furman earned its first point in singles play with freshman Sawyer Duncan defeating Hector Nieto in straight sets (6-1, 6-0) in the number six spot. Miami clinched the win by earning three straight victories in the first, fifth, and fourth spots.

Junior Bo Ladyman picked up another point for the Paladins with a 6-4, 6-1 win over David Rosenfeld at the number two singles spot.

With the win, Miami improves to 5-0, while Furman falls to 1-8. The Paladins will return home Saturday to face Princeton in a 10:30 a.m. match.
