The 73rd-ranked Furman men's tennis team earned a 7-0 win over UNC Greensboro on Sunday to remain undefeated in league play.
Despite a close loss at number two doubles, the Paladins won the doubles point with victories at the number one and three spots. At the top spot, the Paladin tandem of Bo Ladyman and Jordan Walters defeated Martin Redelinghuys and Arsel Kumdereli by a score of 8-5, while Jason Basile and Daniel Knause topped William John and Taylor Befus 8-4 to earn the first point for the Paladins.
Furman dominated the Spartans in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets.
With the win, Furman improves to 11-10 on the season and 7-0 in Southern Conference play, while UNC Greensboro falls to 2-17 overall and 1-7 in league play.
The Paladins will take the court again on Thursday as they host Wofford at the Mickel Tennis Center on the campus of Furman University. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
