The Furman Lady Paladin basketball team will host Appalachian State Wednesday in Timmons Arena.
Appalachian State leads the overall series 32-25. In the teams' first meeting this season, senior Chrissy Phelps led four Lady Paladins in double-digit points as Furman topped Appalachian State 73-63 in the team's first SouthernConference win of the season.
The Lady Paladins are coming off a 59-54 loss to Georgia Southern in conference action. Junior Sarah Baker recorded a career-high 23 points in the Paladins' first loss of five points or less this season.
Appalachian State is currently 5-18 overall and 2-10 in the Southern Conference. The Mountaineers' last win came over Wofford on Jan. 28, but the team currently holds a three-game losing streak, with defeats from Chattanooga, Western Carolina, and Davidson.
The game will be played in Timmons Arena with an approximate tip-off time of 7:00 p.m.
