Miami Lakes, Fla. -- Junior Blair Lamb carded an even-par 72 as Furman posted an opening round 303 at the Canes & Cardinals Classic at the 6,210-yard Don Shula Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Fla., on Monday.

The opening round was delayed more than an hour due to heavy morning rains and Monday's second round action was suspended late in the afternoon due to lightning and wet course conditions.

Lamb notched a one-under 35 on the back nine to take a share of sixth place while freshman Stefanie Kenoyer holds 18th place after a first round 74.

Louisville carded a 284 to take a nine-stroke lead over Georgia State and 10-stroke edge over Tulsa entering the final 36 holes. South Florida and the College of Charleston rounded out the top five in the 15-team tournament. The Cardinals' Cindy LaCrosse took the individual lead firing a five-under 67 to grab a three-stroke advantage over Kelly Fuckik of Tulsa.

Round two play will be resumed at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday with the final round scheduled to follow immediately after the completion of the second round.
