Furman freshman Stefanie Kenoyer has been named Southern Conference Women's Golfer-of-the-Week after guiding Furman to a 14th place finish this past weekend at the prestigious Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga.
The Lighthouse Point, Fla., native carded rounds of 75-81-77=233 to finish 33rd overall in a field that included 14 of the top 30 teams in the country and the top two rated individuals in the nation. The Paladins (318-314-312) improved in each round to finish five strokes ahead of 25th-ranked Texas A&M and 12 strokes in front of No. 19 Vanderbilt.
Furman is No. 39 in this week's Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. Junior Blair Lamb ranks 48th individually while Kenoyer is No. 92.
