Greenville, S.C. - Wednesday's softball doubleheader between Furman and Winthrop, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Pepsi Stadium, has been canceled due to persistent rains and wet field conditions.

Furman will return to action this weekend taking part in the Auburn Tiger Invitational on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Auburn, Ala. On Friday, Furman will face Gardner-Webb at 11:00 a.m. ET before battling the Evansville Purple Aces at 1:30. The Lady Paladins will tangle with Marshall and McNeese State on Saturday before facing host Auburn on Sunday afternoon.

Furman enters the weekend at 1-1 on the season after splitting a doubleheader with East Tennessee State this past weekend at Pepsi Stadium. The defending Southern Conference Tournament champions return home next Wednesday to host Presbyterian.
