Woodstock, Ga. - Heavy rain on Friday followed by Saturday morning snow showers and cold temperatures in the Atlanta area have forced the cancellation of all games, including Furman's four schedule softball contests, at this weekend's Buzz Classic.

Furman was originally scheduled to face Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee on Friday, but wet field conditions caused the postponement of those games until Sunday. The Paladins were slated to take on Florida A&M and Kent State on Saturday, but a steady snow fall and wind chills in the low 20's forced organizers to call off the event.

Furman, 6-9 on the season, returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Charlotte in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Pepsi Stadium.
