The women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory today over Alabama.
Furman swept the doubles matches, with the team of Gioia/Manojlovic defeating Bigos/Brenes 8-3 in the number one spot, the duo of Osborne/Arguello topping Tunaru/Welcher 8-4 in number two doubles, and Tomory/Preeg winning over Svensson/Emery 8-5 to clinch the doubles sweep.
The Lady Paladins proceeded to win five of the six singles matches to take the 6-1 win, highlighted by Lauren Tomory's close win over Andrea Brenes in number five singles.
With the win, the Lady Paladins improve to 3-2 on the season. Furman will travel to in-state rival South Carolina on Wednesday.
