The Furman women's tennis team was swept by #9 Vanderbilt in the team's last non-conference road game of the season.
The Commodores took the doubles point with wins at the number two and three spots, while the Paladin tandem of Laura Gioia and Natasa Manojlovic earned Furman's only win of the day at number one doubles. Gioia and Manojlovic defeated the team of Amanda Taylor and Courtney Ulery by a score of 8-5.
Vanderbilt clinched the match by winning in all six singles spots in straight sets. The Commodores improve to 10-3 on the season, while Furman falls to 8-5.
The Paladins resume Southern Conference play on March 21 with a trip to Chattanooga.
