Baseball Series Moved to Fairfax

March 17, 2008

The George Mason baseball team was originally scheduled to travel to Northeastern this weekend to take on the Huskies in Colonial Athletic Association action. Due to expected inclement weather in Boston, the series has been moved to Fairfax.

The Patriots will host Northeastern at Spuhler Field in a three-game series beginning on Friday. The teams will play on the 21st at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday the 22nd at 2 p.m. and on Sunday the 23rd at 1 p.m.

This is the second straight year the teams were scheduled to play in Boston in March only to have the series moved to Fairfax. Last year, the teams managed to play just two games at Spuhler Field with the teams splitting the contests.

The Patriots are 4-1 in CAA play, currently in third place. The Huskies are 1-2, and in seventh place.
