Campbell Leads George Mason into Colonial Athletic Association Final

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Folarin Campbell scored 15 points and George Mason held North Carolina-Wilmington to its worst shooting percentage of the season Sunday, defeating the Seahawks 53-41 in the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals.

The Patriots (22-10) will face fifth-seeded William & Mary in Monday's championship game. Wilmington is 20-13.

The Patriots took the lead 10-9 with 12:50 remaining in the first half on a foul by Louis Birdsong. George Mason never trailed again, leading by as many as eight in the first half and taking a 31-25 halftime lead.

The teams opened the second half by combining to miss 10 of 11 field goals. Neither team shot 30 percent for the half, but the Patriots hit 14 of 21 free throws to extend the lead.

Birdsong finished with 10 points, and Will Thomas led the Patriots with 14 rebounds as George Mason outrebounded N.C.-Wilmington 39-31.

The Seahawks, who finished with a field goal percentage of 28.1, were led by T.J. Carter's 16 points and Vladimir Kuljanin's 10. Kuljanin also had 11 rebounds.
