Homecoming Game Against UNC Wilmington is Sold Out

Feb. 5, 2008

The George Mason's basketball game on Saturday, February 16 at 6 p.m. against UNC Wilmington has officially sold out. The sellout will be the seventh in school history, and the second capacity crowd this season. The Patriots defeated James Madison 74-46 last Saturday in front of a record 9,840 fans. George Mason student tickets are still available but on a limited basis. Mason students can pick up their tickets at the Patriot Center Box Office when they present their Mason ID.

George Mason had two sellouts last season, coming off their remarkable run to the 2006 Final Four. Prior to last year it had been six seasons since the Patriot Center was sold out for a men's basketball game, last on February 17, 2001.

The demand for tickets have been rising the past few years and the best way for you to be a part of Mason Nation next season is to place a $50 deposit on NEW season tickets. This does not apply to current season ticket holders who will receive a letter about their tickets in March. The George Mason Athletic Ticket Office has begun accepting deposits towards new season ticket accounts for the 2008-2009 season. By placing a season ticket deposit, fans are guaranteed the best possible available seat locations before they go on-sale to the general public. Priority will be given to the order in which deposits are received.

Deposits for 2008-2009 season tickets can be made online at GoMason.com (CLICK HERE) and entering the password Patriots, or by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at (703) 993-3270.

Deposits for 2008 Season Tickets are non-refundable. Will I be able to get Lower Level seats when I place a deposit?

Because the lower level is mostly sold out, you will likely be given the best available seating options when we contact you in May. However, you may have the opportunity to upgrade your location at a later date once our current Season Ticket Holders have been given an upgrade opportunity.

When will Season Ticket prices be released?

The goal of George Mason is to release pre season per ticket Season Ticket prices no later than early May. These prices will be discussed with you when you personally speak to your Account Executive when choosing your 2008 seat location. The actual full tickets price will be based on number of games and not determined until early September. Season tickets start as low as $98.
