Patriot Golf in Second Place after Two Rounds at Princeton Invitational

The George Mason men's golf team stands in second place seven shots back of leader St. John's and among 15 teams participating at the Princeton Invitational. The Patriot, who have a four-stroke lead over third place team and host Princeton, played two rounds on Saturday with round three scheduled for Sunday.

Mason received very consistent play from the team from top to bottom. Senior Clark Bixler shot even par 71 and one-under par 70 in his two rounds to stand tied for sixth place overall. He is five stokes off leader Keegan Bradley from St. john's. Not far behind Bixler is Patriot Tyler Frank, who shot even par to hold a tie for eighth place. Senior J.J. Amoruso finished one-over par in his two rounds to finished tied for 11th on the 6,390 yard course.

The Patriots Marshall Tinsley and Greg Brouse shot (73-77) 150 and (78-73)151 respectively to round out the scoring. They both stand in the Top 50 individually.

Play will conclude with one round Sunday.
