The Patriots golf team travelled during spring break to Huarenco, Puerto Rico, and finished ninth in the inaugural Palmas Del Mar Collegiate hosted by St. John's. Mason was very consistent in their scoring recording a 302, 304 and 305 in the three-round event played at the The Flamboyan a par 72 6,77- yard course.

Tyler Frank led the Patriots with an eight-over par three-round total and finished tied for 22nd overall. Not far behind Clark Bixler finished nine-over par and a 29th place finish. Marshall Tinsley shot even-par 72 in the opening round, but followed up with an 81 and 76 for 13 over-par. J.J. Amoruso finished tied for 57th and Silas Vansky finished tied for 67th to round out the scoring.

Mason returns home to play conference rival William and Mary on Monday and Tuesday at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
