Bokker Named US Lacrosse Coach of the Week

March 2, 2008

BALTIMORE - Patriots' head coach Amy Bokker, as well as Adam Pascal of the College of the Holy Cross, have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending Feb. 24. Both will be recognized on CSTV's lacrosse broadcasts on March 2 and March 4.

Bokker's squad opened up their season with an 11-10 upset victory over then-No. 9 Johns Hopkins on Feb. 23. The Patriots continued that strong play in their last game, an 11-5 victory over in-state rival Virginia Tech.

Pascal led the Crusaders to a 7-6 upset victory at Yale on Sunday, Feb. 27. Holy Cross began the season with two consecutive victories, the school's first 2-0 start in over a decade.

US Lacrosse and CSTV are in the fifth year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse broadcasts to fans around the nation. CSTV has a 23-game package for this season, including telecasts of the NCAA Division I, II and III women's championships and the NCAA Division II and III men's championships. CSTV will also telecast the US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.

Top-ranked women's lacrosse teams will be on the CSTV schedule this weekend. Unbeaten Notre Dame, ranked No. 10 in the latest IWLCA poll, heads to Palo Alto, Calif. to face Stanford on March 2 at 1 p.m. No. 2 Virginia heads to No. 5 Maryland on March 4 for a 7 p.m. game.

US Lacrosse, a 501(c)(3) corporation, is the national governing body for men's and women's lacrosse. US Lacrosse has more than 250,000 members around the country. To learn more about US Lacrosse, please visit www.uslacrosse.org.
