The George Mason softball team will look to continue its hot-hitting offense into the weekend as it hosts a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series against Georgia State. The teams will meet for a doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday, then close out the series at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Admission to all games is free.

Mason is coming off one of the finest offensive performances in school history, as the Patriots defeated Coppin State, 27-0 and 27-1 on Wednesday. Mason combined for 54 runs on the day, as all but one Patriot recorded a hit. They were led by sophomore Ashli Breau, who tallied nine RBIs. Breau is also the top hitter on the season for the Patriots, as she is batting .451 with 32 RBIs and seven home runs. In the circle, sophomore Becky Anderson has been outstanding, as she possesses a 1.73 ERA in 20 appearances with 19 starts.

Georgia State comes to Fairfax with a 25-8 record, and a 4-2 mark in the CAA. The Panthers are led by Danielle Roddy, who is batting .439, while Catherine Lee has hit 11 home runs and 46 RBIs. Alicia Mills has been the top GSU pitcher, with an 11-4 record and 1.29 ERA in 16 games, 13 in a starting role.

Following the weekend series, Mason will travel to Emmitsburg, Md., for a Wednesday doubleheader at Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m.
