Fairfax, Va. The George Mason women's tennis team's winning streak was snapped at five today, as Mason lost 1-6 to conference rival James Madison. The five-match winning streak was the longest this season for the Lady Netters.

Aryn Christman was the lone point for the Patriots, but Lindsay Gray and Meredith Cutchin fought hard only to both lose their matches in three sets. Christman defeated Madison's Alissa Brandalik 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 position. Gray, after losing the first set in her match, rallied to win the second, but eventually lost the third at the No. 1 spot. Cutchin played the closest match of the day. Cutchin, playing in the No. 6 position, took an early lead winning the first set 7-6 over Ida Donner. Donner battled back and won the second set by the same score. In the third set Cutchin succumbed to a close defeat, 10-8. James Madison took all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

Mason moves to 9-10 (1-4) for the season and looks to start a new winning streak as they head to Morgan St. on Thursday.
