Saturday's Game: Winners of three straight and coming off perhaps it best performance of the season, GW (9-14, 5-8) faces No. 9/11 Xavier (24-4, 12-1) for the second meeting this season and the 31st meeting in the series. GW fell to the Musketeers, 74-66, on Jan. 19 in Washington. That loss snapped a seven-game home winning streak at Smith Center.

• Xavier has won six of the last seven meetings and 11 of the last 13.

• GW is 1-10 on the road this season while Xavier is 14-1 at home.

• Xavier is the first Top 10 team GW has faced since losing to No. 1 Duke in the second round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament on March 18, 2006.

• GW is coming off an 85-68 triumph over Rhode Island Wednesday at Smith Center. Noel Wilmore was white-hot from downtown as he hit 7-9 three-pointers en route to his career-high 24 points. Damian Hollis added 22 points as GW scored its season-high 85 points.

• Xavier has been idle for a week after defeating Dayton, 57-51, Sunday at UD Arena. The Musketeers have won 10 straight, a string that began at Smith Center on Jan. 19.

• GW is 1-5 at Cintas Center where the Musketeers are 104-16 (.867) in eight seasons.

• GW's lone victory at Cintas Center came on Feb. 2, 2006 in a come-from-behind 89-85 triumph.

• GW is without starting point guard Travis King, who is sitting out the season with a knee injury.

• GW has won 54 of its last 77 regular-season games and 32 of its last 45 A-10 games.

A Closer Look at Xavier... Xavier enters play Saturday with a 24-4 overall record, 12-1 in the A-10. Xavier has five players averaging double figure points and a sixth player averaging 9.9 ppg. F Derrick Brown leads the team in rebounding with 6.7 rpg while B.J. Raymond has hit 66 three-pointers (.426). For the season, Xavier is shooting 47.9 percent from the field, averages 76.5 points a game and is outrebounding opponents by nearly six caroms a game. All of those stats are down slightly since the Jan. 19 meeting in Washington. Xavier leads the A-10 in five team categories including scoring margin at +14.2 and assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.20.
