Saturday's Game: Winners of three of its last five games, GW (9-16, 5-10) hosts UMass (20-9, 9-6) for the first time this season and the 58th meeting in the series.

• Tonight is `Senior Night' featuring a pregame ceremony honoring a pair of GW seniors (Dominic Green and Keri Gonsalves) each of whom are making their final Smith Center appearances.

• GW has won three of the last five meetings with UMass by an average score of 77-73.

• UMass has won three of the last four games at Smith Center by an average score of 70-67.

• GW is coming off a 77-61 loss to Charlotte just 48 hours ago at Halton Arena. Rob Diggs led GW with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double and Xavier Alexander grabbed his career-high 14 rebounds.

• UMass is coming off a 100-63 victory over La Salle Wednesday at home. The Minutemen have won their last five straight and are jockeying for a first-round bye in next week's A-10 Tournament.

• GW is 8-3 at home this season while UMass is 6-6 on the road.

• UMass is 5-19 at Smith Center where the Colonials are a combined 310-120 (.721) in 32 seasons.

• GW has won 54 of its last 79 regular-season games and 32 of its last 47 A-10 games.

A Closer Look at UMass... UMass enters the final game of the regular season with a 20-9 overall record, 9-6 in the A-10. UMass has four players averaging double figure points led by senior guard Gary Forbes' 20.3 ppg and Ricky Harris' 18.0 ppg. A transfer from Virginia, Forbes scored eight points against GW back in the 2004 NIT at Charlottesville. Etienne Brower, a transfer from Boston University, contributes 12.7 points and 6.5 reounds. For the season, the Minutemen are shooting 44.7 percent from the field and averaging a league-best 83.1 points a game but are getting outrebounded by a carom a game. UMass leads the A-10 in three-pointers made with more than nine per game. Junior point guard Chris Lowe leads the league in assists per game handing out more than 6 each time out.

Next Game: GW is vying for the 12th and final berth in the A-10 Tournament pending the outcome of tonight's game and the St. Bonaventure-Fordham game in the Bronx. As the #12 seed, GW would play the #5 seed Friday, Mar. 12 in Atlantic City. The game tips off at 2 p.m. and is preceeded by the #8-#9 game at noon.
