AMHERST, MA - No. 14/13 GW seeks to reach the 20-win plateau for the ninth straight season and 17th time in the last 18 years when it heads to Massachusetts Wednesday at 7:00 pm. The Colonials are tied atop the Atlantic 10 standings with Xavier at 7-1 in league play.

The Colonials lost the last time they visited the Mullins Center, 55-53, on Jan. 22, 2006. Since that loss more than two seasons ago, GW has gone 29-3 in regular-season league play and 58-12 overall. The Colonials avenged that 2006 road loss with a 61-48 victory at Smith Center last season, which gave Joe McKeown his 400th win as coach at GW. McKeown will be looking for his 19th career 20-win season against the Minutewomen.

GW hosted WBCA Think Pink Day and celebrated coach McKeown's 500th career victory during Sunday's home game against Richmond. Junior Jessica Adair and senior Kimberly Beck combined for 45 points - including a streak of 24 in-a-row - as the Colonials rolled over the Spiders, 78-51, for their fifth straight win overall, 11th straight at Smith Center and 13th straight versus conference foes at home.

Massachusetts fell below .500 for the season and to 3-5 in Atlantic 10 play with a 75-64 loss at Rhode Island Saturday. Senior Kate Mills was the Minutewomen's lone double-digit scorer with 24 points. UMass shot 48 percent for the game, including 52.4 percent in the second half, but couldn't contain the hot-shooting Rams, who connected on 27-of-49 field goals (55 percent).

UM relies heavily on Mills and senior Pam Rosanio, who combine for 34.0 points per game and account for nearly half (47 percent) of the team's field goal attempts. Mills is second in the league in scoring at 18.1 ppg, while Rosanio ranks eighth with 15.9. Both players also rank in the Top 8 in the league in shooting - Mills is fourth at 53.1 percent and Rosanio is eighth at 51.0. UMass, which had its first winning season in eight years with a 17-13 mark in 2006-07, is 9-2 at the Mullins Center this season.
