WASHINGTON, DC - No. 15/t15 George Washington celebrates Senior Day by hosting Fordham in both teams' regular-season finale Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Seniors Whitney Allen, Kimberly Beck, Sarah-Jo Lawrence and Lora Mitchell will be honored prior to their final game at Smith Center.

GW (23-5, 11-2 A-10), which is tied with Temple for first place in the Atlantic 10 standings, can claim at least a share of its seventh consecutive Atlantic 10 regular-season title with a victory. However, the Colonials must win and have the Owls fall to Massachusetts in order to receive the No. 1 seed for next weekend's A-10 Championship.

The Colonials ride a 12-game home winning streak into Saturday's Smith Center finale - tied as the nation's ninth longest home-court streak. GW has won 26 of its last 27 home games. This year's senior class is 53-5 all-time at Smith Center.

GW has dominated the 13-game series with Fordham, winning all 13 games by an average of 25.2 points. In the last meeting, Jessica Adair led 10 GW scorers with 19 points as the Colonials rolled to a 46-10 halftime lead and 77-51 victory in Bronx, NY.

GW shot 56.4 percent - its second-best shooting effort of the season - and scored 14 straight points in the second half to complete the season sweep of Richmond, 75-59, Wednesday. Senior Sarah-Jo Lawrence led with 19 points, followed by 17 from junior Jessica Adair. Senior Whitney Allen recorded her third double-double (11p/10r) of the season and senior Kimberly Beck matched her season-high with 12 assists.

GW's senior quartet of Whitney Allen, Kimberly Beck, Sarah-Jo Lawrence and Lora Mitchell play their final home game Saturday afternoon against Fordham. The group has guided the Colonials to a 97-27 overall record and trips to three NCAA Tournaments the past four seasons and has combined for more than 3,400 points, 1,400 rebounds, 1,100 assists and 600 steals during their careers.

Having already set a new single-season total attendance record with nearly 26,000 fans this season, GW will look to break the average home attendance mark in Saturday's finale. The Colonials are averaging 1,851 fans per game so far this season, which would top the current mark of 1,637 set during the 1995-96 season. GW has already had the third (3,864 - Rutgers), fourth (3,689 - Xavier), 11th (2,828 - Texas A&M) and 12th (2,807 - Richmond) highest single-game home crowds in Smith Center history this season.

Fordham enters Saturday's season finale 0-28 this season and winless in its last 33 games overall. With a loss, the Rams will set the Division I record for losses in a season with 29, breaking the current mark of 28 held by Charleston (1990-91) and Centenary (1999-00). Seven of Fordham's losses have been decided by single digits, including a pair of two-point losses in regulation, a two-point overtime loss and a double overtime defeat against Saint Louis on Jan. 12.

Freshman Megan Mahoney averages a team-best 15.5 points while hoisting better than a quarter (431-of-1568 FGA) of the Rams' shots. Junior Annie Zopf is the only other player to average double-digits at 10.9 ppg. Zopf scored a game-high 18 points in Fordham's 79-55 home loss to Charlotte Wednesday. Mahoney and lone senior Beth Troutt added 14 points apiece against the 49ers.
