Spokane, Wash. - Gonzaga University outfielder Drew Heid has been named to this week's National All-Star Lineup by the Collegiate Baseball Foundation. The honor comes after the sophomore was named the West Coast Player of the Week on Monday.

Heid earned the accolade after leading the Zags (25-18, 7-7 WCC) last week with a .667 average. The sophomore with 10-for-15 in four games, with five doubles and a home run. The native of Goldendale, Wash. also drove in five runs, while scoring six.

Last weekend, in a three-game West Coast Conference series with Saint Mary's College, Heid posted two four-hit games. In the series opener, he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and a run scored. His three doubles tied a school record for doubles in a game. Sunday, in the series finale, Heid went 4-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored.

For the season, the transfer is hitting at a .361 clip, including batting a team-leading .449 in league play.

The Bulldogs will look to take a two-game sweep of the two-time defending national champion Oregon State University Wednesday at Patterson Baseball Complex and Washington Trust Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. In the series opener Tuesday, the Zags scored six runs in the eighth inning to post an 11-6 win over the No. 23 Beavers.
