Warren North Places Sixth at C.R.A.S.H-B Indoor Rowing Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - Gonzaga University men's rower Warren North placed sixth in the Lightweight Men's Open at the 2008 C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships on Feb. 24 at the Agganis Arena at Boston University. North, a senior on the Bulldogs squad, finished the Lightweight Open in a time of 6:23.8. Henrik Stephansen took home top honors in the open event setting a new world record with a time of 6:02.2. Felix Overmann finished second with a time of 6:14.2 while Steffen Bonde placed third with a finish of 6:14.2. The race was rowed on the latest Concept2 Model D ergometers, which are used by athletes by universities, clubs, schools and national teams around the globe, and was a distance of 2,000-meters.
