SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's rowing program will host Washington State University on Saturday morning at Liberty Lake in Liberty Lake, Wash. The regatta was scheduled to be at Silver Lake in Medical Lake, Wash., but the lake is still frozen over, so the Bulldogs had to switch their home venue. The regatta will begin at 9 a.m. with the Novice 8+ race, followed by the 2nd Varsity 8+/3rd Varsity 8+ race at 9:15 a.m. The Varsity 8+ race is set for a 9:30 a.m. start and will be followed by the Varsity 4+ head-to-head at 10:00 a.m. The dual will finish with the 2nd Varsity 4+ race at 10:15 a.m.

Last season, the Zags made history by winning only its second-ever Fawley Cup against WSU. GU won five of the seven races on the day, including a two-seat victory in the Varsity 8+ race. The Bulldog Varsity 8+ defeated the Cougars in a time of 6:31.94; their fastest finish in school history.
