SEATTLE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's novice rowing squad will hit the water Saturday, partaking in the Husky Open, hosted by the University of Washington. The Bulldogs, rowing on Montlake Cut in Seattle, Wash., are scheduled to enter boats in the Novice 8+ and Novice 4+ races.

Gonzaga's Novice 8+ is set to race both Washington State University and Washington at 8:10 a.m. The Zag boat will consist of Rachel Cregg, Andrea Ness, Alexa Bostwick, Therese Yrani, Hannah Winters, Megan Morris, Madison Feddersen, Courtney Norris and Rachel Schlosser.

The Bulldogs Novice 4+ A and Novice 4+ B will race Washington State, who will also have an A and B boat, and Washington at 10:20 a.m. The Zag Novice 4+ A boat is made up of Nicky Talkington, Andrea Ness, Alexa Bostwick, Therese Yrani, and Hannah Winters. The GU Novice 4+ B boat consists of Carrie Kreimier, Megan Morris, Madison Feddersen, Lauren Borges and Rachel Schlosser.

The Gonzaga rowers are looking forward to hitting the water, as they have not competed in nearly two weeks. The Bulldogs, who faced off against Oregon State University March 22, had their dual against Washington State University canceled last Saturday due to inclement weather.

The Varsity crew will not compete again until Saturday, April 19 when it travels to Boston Mass., for the Charles River Challenge.
