Spokane, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team spilt a pair of matches Wednesday as the Zags defeated Cal State Bakersfield 7-0 before falling 6-1 to UC Santa Barbara.

The Bulldogs' (4-9) Rika Mehndiratta went undefeated on the day in singles play as she defeated Isabella Kasslestrand of CSUB (0-4) 6-0, 6-3 before downing Charlotte Scatliffe 7-6, 7-6 (2) of UCSB (6-6) in the late match.

Gonzaga won the first match, against the Roadrunners, as the Bulldogs' Mehndiratta, Aglaya Kokurina, Emily Anderson, Clare Dodge, Kristen MacWilliam and Danielle Farmer all earned singles victories. In doubles play, duos of Anderson and Kokruina, Farmer and Dodge, as well as Mehndiratta and MacWilliam all earned victories.

In the late match, Mehndiratta's single point was the Bulldogs' lone victory of the contest.

Gonzaga will hit the courts again Thursday as the face Cal Poly at 1:30 p.m.
