Bay City, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced that Grand Valley State Senior center Callistus Eziukwu has been named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week. Eziukwu led #2 Grand Valley State University to road wins over Hillsdale (66-50) and Ashland (84-58) last week. Eziukwu, averaged 17.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. He connected on 66.7 percent (12-18) of his shots from the floor and 73.3 percent (11-15) from the charity stripe. Callistus scored 16 points and pulled down 11 rebounds at Hillsdale, then recorded a 19-point, 10-rebound effort at Ashland. Eziukwu was part of a defense that held its opponents to 29.8 percent shooting from the floor (31-104). In addition, Eziukwu has seven straight double-doubles.
