Allendale, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced Tuesday that senior guard Jason Jamerson has been named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. Jamerson averaged 22.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals as #2 Grand Valley State set league history with a pair of wins. Jamerson hit 15-of-30 from the floor (.500), 5-of-11 from three-point land (.455) and 10-of-11 from the charity stripe (.900). Jamerson hit 4-of-7 three-pointers, dished out five assists, notched two blocked shots and recorded a pair of steals in 29 minutes of action as Grand Valley State claimed a 76-51 win over Northwood. Jamerson followed with the second-best scoring output of his career with 29 points at Ferris State as GVSU claimd an 81-67 win. Jason hit 9-of-17 from the floor and 10-of-11 from the charity stripe, dished out three assists, blocked a shot and notched a steal versus the Bulldogs. Jamerson, the all-time leader in 3-pointers made (281) and the fourth all-time leading scorer in GVSU men's basketball history (1,606), has led #2 GVSU to a GLIAC single-season record 18 wins. In addition, GVSU became the first school in Michigan collegiate basketball history to go 30-0 in a regular season.

Grand Valley State will host Hillsdale College in a GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinal contest Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. Jamerson (4) and senior center Callistus Eziukwu (4) combined to win GLIAC North Division Player of the Week honors eight times this season.
