Results

Findlay, Ohio - Mike Basinski was stellar after a tough start at the NCAA Super Regional, helping Grand Valley State University to a first-place tie on day one. After bogeying his first four holes, Basinski shot four-under through the rest of the day to finish at par. The Lakers are tied with Findlay, Ferris State and Northern Kentucky, shooting a 300 through 18 holes.

Basinski's score of 72 ties him for third place in the event. Matt Malloure finished the day at +3 75, tying him in 11th place. Tyler Hering and Josh Burt were each one more stroke back, with Hering finishing 15th at 76 and Burt at 20th with a 77. Josh Orler was the fifth Laker on the day, shooting a 79, which puts him in 33rd place.
