Holland, Mich. - Grand Valley State won 10 events and cruised to a 143-86 victor over Hope College Friday night in Holland. GVSU will host Findlay in a GLIAC dual meet Saturay at 1 p.m. at the GVSU Pool.

GVSU opened the meet with an impressive win in the 400 medley relay, finishing in a time of 3:31.86. Jeff Pauza won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:04.63 and Justin Schrotenboer claimed top honors in the 200 free (1:45.28). Evan Kobes won a close race in the 50 free, touching in 21.99 and Justin Pattermann claimed a first-place finish in the 200 IM (1:59.39).

Evan Betts was solid on the diving board again, claiming first-place finishes on both the one (295.45) and three-meter (290.20) boards. Patrick VanDommelen was second on the one (240.15) and three (258.95). Phil Watkins was second in the 200 fly (1:58.56), while Justin Pattermann was third (2:00.11). Matt Witkowski finished first in the 100 free (46.91), while Aaron Renton was third (48.75). Jordan Schrotenboer claimed a second-place finish in the 200 back (1:56.32), while Evan Kobes was third (2:00.09). In addition to his first in the 1000 free, Pauza added a first-place finish in the 500 free (4:53.67). Kyle Burgher was second in the 500 (4:56.56), while Hans Hill won the 200 breast (2:11.94). Philip Kaseska was third in the 200 breast (2:14.32).
